logos

A logo is a sign (symbol), containing text and/or graphics distinguishing a particular firm, company etc. It should expressly indicate the main areas of activity of such company.

There is no doubt that a properly designed logo, which is recognizable, catchy, not overurdened with details and not oversimplified, is a significant enhancement to the corporate image. For successful companies, logos often turn into brands, which an instantly recognizable logo; its imprint on the product can boost the sales, even if the product is new for the given company.

One of the key features of a trademark logo is that it is always in sight of consumers.

All logos can be classified into three groups:

  • Text logos. Logos attriuted to this group represent company (product, trademark) name in a particular font. Depending on the font type, this group is further subdivided into two sub-groups: classic and ornamental. Classic fonts include, for instance Times New Roman, Courier, Arial, Pragmatica. Ornamental fonts are free style fonts.

  • Image logos. Logos attriuted to this group represent an original symbol (sign). Usually, such logos are of a certain color. Often they are designed using original ornamental fonts.

  • Combo logos. This type of logos is designed as a combination of text and symbol. They are most widespread. The symbol is perfect for imprinting on company products. As a rule, it is either placed on the top or precedes the text.

Today, a trademark is a part of the corporate style; it is the most catchy and vivid image component of any company or a firm.
